An image of a map, reported to be that of open world game Red Dead Redemption 2 has leaked onto the web, giving fans of the series hope for an official announcement at this year’s E3.
The image originally surfaced on NeoGAF where it was swiftly taken down, but unofficial ‘sources’ have since confirmed it’s authenticity.
Whilst little else is known about the game at this time, the map may give us some clues. For instance, the ‘Great Plains’ feature, possibly the same area from RDR, shows no Railroad. Suggesting this game could be a ‘prequel’ to RDR, perhaps set in between the 2010 title and the original Red Dead Revolver.
This news of a possible prequel comes as a positive step for fans, who wern’t particularly happy with how Red Dead Redemption continued after the ‘ending’ quest.
Rockstar has not announced anything official at this point, and there is no news as to whether this title in the series will see a PC release, fingers crossed it does!
